”I can hardly control how you feel.” the words were uttered carelessly, apathy rich in his tone. whether or not she was scared of him really wasn’t his problem, after all; it made no difference to his life. if she thought otherwise, then she was truly foolish.
fear teaches you where to be careful. —was that so true? maybe what made her so reckless was her lack of fear. should she be scared? he didn't seem that harmful. it may have been her trying not to judge a book by it's cover. but it could also be her be- ing foolish as always.
«♑» What did this person eat? Rotten sandwiches and fruits? She probably doesn’t know what she is talking about, does she have a concussion? “Well I don’t know that you are okay, for all I know, you could have a head injury or anything” He has to stick by this person until it seems as if they are able to take care of themselves, or they are in the safety of their own home.
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ she probably sounded crazy. and that's probably what he was implying. a shrug, oh well. “I should get home before nightfall——“ she said, slowly standing up. despite her friendship with sidhean, the fairy hunt was not something she wished to encounter. “So, just a thought, but.. should I expect you to accompany me home at this point?“
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ a long sigh. she'd been weeding all day in the garden with little progress.
maybe if she just... stopped———
no. lady isobel would kill her. a forearm lifted and wiped away the sweat that trailed down her features. an individual standing at the gate was finally noticed.
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ one could say it was practically known world-wide that ash was in fact a terrible liar. and yet, despite this, she still attempts to do so.
chapped lips pressed into a thin line as she contemplated what to respond with. she didn't really have any excuse to cover it up with. maybe if she just...
“I would like to say nice to meet you, except it would’ve been so much nicer to have met under better conditions… oh well, right? Better than my earlier proposition of someone coming by and stealing the groceries instead. Hah, imagine that.”
By that point, he was rambling. Hopefully he wasn’t just creeping her out to the chance of her running away. He did have her food hostage, after all. Ready to follow after her, Eric offered a shrug.
”It’s not going to be weird that you’re letting me into your kitchen or anything, right? I can stand outside the door and you can just take your groceries from there… I promise I won’t run off.”
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ beginning to walk off in the direction of the Quinn House she realized she'd been tuning out most of his words. that was actually quite rude, so she attempted to be a better listener. “No, you can come inside just...“
she paused, grasping for the right words as she attempted to find a way to explain without making it sound like she lived in a house full of serial killers. “Just... be—— quiet...?“ she finished, looking off to the side in uncertainty.
hopefully he wouldn't really question why such a thing would be so important. she didn't exactly enjoy people immersing themselves in her personal life.
«♑» This was quite confusing, she was behaving like if it didn’t matter. “What do you mean what time is it?” He just didn’t understand how she could brush the fact that she was unconscious in the middle of the night, by some trash cans outside. “You don’t seem fine at all, are you sure you are okay?” He didn’t want to just leave the girl alone when there could be a possibility of her having any kind of injuries or even mental problems. He cares about everyone so he will do what he can to help this person.
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ after a bit of thought, she remembered that her stepfamily would return in three days... and it looked about dusk from the color of the sky. “So it's not that late...“ she mumbled, gaze trailing from the sky over to the male who was still quite worried over her. she stood up, “I'm fine, I did say that, right?“ she inquired, eyebrows furrowing. “You shouldn't really fuss over me. After all I just had the best meal I've had in weeks.“
“Of course.. I don’t want you on your own for the week.. I rather have you with me” He admitted in a way he just wanted to keep her safe. He knew that much, he glanced to her and offered a soft smile. “Ah, it looks like it’s going to rain, wanna head out of here?” He admitted and pointed to the sky. The last thing he needed was to get caught in the rain. It wasn’t something that he minded.. But would rather avoid it. The male took ahold of the females hand, lacing his fingers with her own and began leading the way.
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ well it didn't rain much where she lived, but she most definitely didn't want to get caught in the midst of it. walking alongside the other, she couldn't help but smile. his company was now, assuredly, something she'd hate to lose. leaning her head on his arm gingerly, her lips tugged into a smile. as long as he was there... it kind of felt like—— everything would be okay. that everything else didn't really matter. “Actually—— I'd rather be with you too,“ she mumbled, looking up at him, a grin now crossing her expression.
“Ah, It depends on what you want to eat? The y have good food and desserts. ” He spoke and shrugged his shoulders. The omni rice is really good, they do other things as well.. And everything in the desserts department is the best.“ He spoke, he liked the place for a reason, and it was the food. He glanced over to the female, after being brought the female to the table, where the menus were set for them. He sat down on the other side of the female. He wouldn’t mind sitting besides her, but he would rather face her, he was going to spend his day with her.. He just wanted to look at her, she was so cute, it was just something for him, he was selfish like that.
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ what he'd said may have made it harder to decide. she didn't really have any experience in this area, though all she knew was that her mother's homemade cookies were the best. at least in her own little world. sitting down she propped her elbow up on the table, chin resting in her hand, gaze trailing out the window in thought. not even really bothering to look at the menu. “Hmm... ——how about, you order something... and share it with me,“ Ash suggested, looking over at the male, a soft smile gracing her features.
Maro didn’t realize he had asked an uncomfortable question. He didn’t even pick up on the sure that she had said, considering it was so low in volume. He waited patiently, hands gently spaced out on his thighs, one foot tapping against the floor. He wondered where she was going. It seemed to be taking her long to answer his relatively simple question. But the blind male wasn’t going to rush her, that would be rude! Maybe she needed time to address the question, or needed time to prepare her answer. He didn’t want to rush her, so he simply waited patiently. The way she spoke, it almost sounded as though her house was dangerous. Should he have asked? Well, now that he did, Maro was a bit worried for her. ‘while you could? would something bad happen if you had stayed? do you need a place to stay for a little bit or something?’
〖 ⚔ 〗 ⇨ Ash gave a nervous, and possibly forced, laugh. “Ah—— well not really. I just... don't like it there. At all.“ she answered, not even registering his second question until just after that answer. she did need a place to stay, naturally. yet, if that was an offer of some sort, she'd hate to intrude. “I-I... I do a-actually...“ she muttered, hoping it wasn't some kind of offer after all. if he did offer such a thing, she'd feel awfully guilty unless he had a good argument. though, Ash isn't that hard to convince. for a moment she wondered why she hadn't immediately flocked to Sidhean after her stepfamily's leave... she quickly dismissed that thought and turned her attention back to the conversation. “I just kind of left... without thinking, really.
